We visited Hampton Creek Cove Natural Area in Carter County the mornings of Sat. June 3 & Sun. June 4. Rack Cross was leaving as we arrived Saturday and oriented us regarding bird territories. He had not found the reported Black-billed Cuckoo and we did not find it either morning. Some of the birds that we did see and/or hear are: Golden-winged Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Yellow Warbler Yellow-breasted Chat Alder Flycatcher Least Flycatcher Ruffed Grouse (1) We spent the afternoon and evening Saturday at Carver's Gap.
