I had my first non-Killdeer/Snipe/Woodcock shorebird of the season today, a Greater Yellowlegs, in a mudflat near the Durham farm on Homer Worsham Rd. in Cross Plains. Also on that road were several Horned Larks and Savannah Sparrows. A few miles away at Henry dairy farm I counted at least 18 Wilson's Snipe at the edge of the pond on Swann Rd.
