My wife and I saw the gray catbird (and heard another) in some privet on one of the loop trails near the river fairly close to the visitor center, along w/ brown thrashers and WTS. On 2/5/09, while in the same vicinity, give or take 50 yds or so, I saw three GCB and was able to photograph one, though slightly obscured in the dense vegetation. It had been foraging on the ground, judging by the dirt on it's beak. The GBBC has been notified with a picture(even though the pic was from the week earlier). I'd be happy to share this photo with anyone interested, as I'm not sure of winter records of this bird in Tn. Ed Schneider Whites Creek Davidson Co.
