The loon was still present and feeding actively as of 1 p.m. EST today. A
scope was essential, although the limited power of mine, (15-45 but useless
at the higher end), was suffcient for occasional excellent views.

To clarify the directions just a bit, it is not quite 5 mi on GA 92 south
of GA 85 to Antioch Rd., but it IS 5 miles from 92 to the spot where
Antioch road* dead ends at the lake. It is from this spot that I joined
several others already present and viewing the loon.

*The lake is new (thus not present on the DeLorme map) and has submerged a
section of Antioch Rd. This road apparently also reaches the lake from the
south. Other public accesses to the lake are apparently scare and not well
known.
