There is also another 1961 record of Snowy Owl from Washington Co that was not published in THE MIGRANT, thus not included in J.C. Robinson's 1990 book on Tenn. birds. Therefore the bird in Spring Hill is the 11th state record. The Washington Co record is mentioned in "The Birds of Northeast Tenn.". Wallace Coffey has a photo of the mounted specimen.
