----- Original Message ----- From: Roberts, Sherry L LRN To: shollyday@xxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Phil Neil Sent: Friday, May 05, 2006 8:42 AM Subject: Wood Storks I hope I am sending this to the right destination. I am a Conservation Biologist/Park Ranger with the Corps of Engineers on J. Percy Priest Lake. On May 1, 2, and 3, I saw 2 and possibly 3 wood storks at Poole Knobs Campground, Site 40 in Rutherford County on Percy Priest Lake just outside of LaVergne TN. I spoke to an FWS biologist in Jacksonville FL this morning. He said their birds are in full breeding and the birds I saw were probably from the Mexican population. Even so, he considered the sighting to be rather early and while he was aware of West TN sightings, he was not aware of Middle TN sightings. It may not be that unusual, but it was a nice addition to my life list. Feel free to e-mail me or I can be reached at my office 615-889-1975. Sincerely, Sherry L.
