Stand up for the Endangered Species Act
Dear John,
One of America’s bedrock environmental laws, the Endangered Species Act (ESA),
is under attack in Congress.
A package of five bills — which would undercut the possibility of an ESA safety
net for species in need of critical conservation measures — is close to a vote
in the U.S. House of Representatives. The time to act is now: Tell Congress to
support full funding for species

The ESA is a critical lifeline for birds on the brink of extinction, and it has
a remarkable record of success: More than three-quarters of mainland American
birds protected by the ESA have growing populations.
Threats to America's birds are not going away, and it's essential that Congress
strengthen — not weaken — the ESA.
