I went to Snow Bunting this morning in hopes to show a friend the Laughing
Gull. Not there when I drove up, but what I believed to be the Laughing gull
flew in within a few minutes and landed among the Ring Bills, but after
noticing the eye ring looked like Franklins, I got my book out and compared
other features and the large spots in the tail and the skinny bill tells me
this is an adult Franklin's Gull. Also present was a brown large juvenile
gull, probably a Herring, but I don't have the experience to say its not a
different large gull. Then another large juvenile flies in. I'll send the
Juveniles pics in a separate email for ID help
