We had our first ruby-throated hummingbird at our feeder April 1st (no
fooling!). It was a male. This is in Normandy TN, Bedford Co.
We also had pair of yellow-bellied sapsuckers (or two birds hanging around each
other appearing as so?!) at Old Stone Fort in Coffee County near Manchester TN.
Blue-gray gnatcatchers & A Louisiana Waterthrush also were heard there at the
same park. A Louisiana Waterthrush also was in Franklin Co at Shake Rag Hollow
Trail near the bridge & stream before trail ascends to other end today, Sun
April 2nd.
We're getting a 2 week later start on our annual bird route for spring to
school (tomorrow) yet I have noted a few first as we hurried off to school.
These I will send in later.
Yellow-rumped Warblers are in their spring colors as they flash about- had
these at Old Stone Fort (Coffee CO- Manchester TN) also.
More later.
