Quick Bird Report:
Saw our first hooded mergansers today on a nearby farm pond. (Bedford Cop TN-
Normandy)
Two weekends ago, we saw two sets of five wood ducks in southern Bedford Co /
Lincoln/ Moore Counties near Chestnut Ridge on two different creeks (two
different sets because they were spotted in close proximity, time-wise.)
That same week, while canoeing, we had 25 + woodies fly up from Duck River
(Bedford Co).
Winter goldfinches are here, too. White-crowned sparrows & white-throats were
spotted last week near Wartrace (Bedford Co).
