Submitting a post from a visiting birder from Colorado who was in Nashville for a conference, saw the TN-birds posts on the Whooping Cranes, and was able to go see them. Good job, folks. Dean Edwards Knoxville, TN ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 20:53:17 -0700 From: Thomas Hall Subject: [TN-BIRDS] Dean, I saw you posted someone else's note, so I thought I would send this to you. I could not figure out how to send this to the List Serve (what e-mail to use). I would like to thank all who posted the whereabouts of the Whooping Cranes west of Nashville on Cleese Landing (I just happened to have to go to Nashville for a conference). I found it easily 1/28/08 at 3:00 and unbelievably saw the pair at the Green sign. Finally got to see them for the first time (I guess I saw some at Patuxent Wildlife Research Center years ago - but not in the wild). What a spectacular sight and tribute to recovery. Thanks folks. I really do appreciate it!
