Houston Lane, Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN November 10, 2997 Eurasian Collared-Dove: 2, large size; collar; under tail dark gray with last 1-1/2 inches white; feeding on ground, on feeder, or perched in pear tree for 15 minutes. Ringed Turtle-Dove: 2, almost pure white including under tail coverts, collar not seen, small black streak about 1/8 x 1/4 inch, parallel to beak, located where back of jaw might be if birds had jaws, feeding on ground, on feeder, and perched in pear tree 15 minutes, at the same time as the Eurasian but not close to them. A 5th dove, on or the other, somewhat hidden in the pear tree, left before I could get a good look. Both are firsts for our yard, for Houston Lane, and as far as I know for the area south of Collegedale. It was rather surprising to see them at the same time.
