The 75th consecutive Elizabethton Spring Bird Count was held on 5 May 2018
with 60 observers (the most ever) in 11-15 parties.
The area covered Carter Co and parts of adjacent Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, &
Washington Cos.
We tallied 152 species, slightly better than the average of 149 over the last
30 years.
The most ever was 166 species in 2016.
Notable misses this year were: N. Bobwhite, Sharp-shinned Hawk, & Kentucky
Warbler.
