For those that have not heard eBird has just released their mobile app for
android phones. It's free. From what I have read all support for birdlog
will be going away. You can check out all the details on the eBird webpage.
For those of you who have not started using ebird to enter your bird lists
on you should take a look. The program has become much more user friendly
of late. Digital bird pictures can be down loaded to your checklist easily
now without having to go through saving your pictures to flicker or some
other site and then going through a process of putting the pictures to your
list. It's just drop the picture in now. Same for bird song recordings.
eBird has gone world wide. It is a huge Citizens Science project developed
by Cornel University. Many bird questions are being answered from the data
being entered by observers like us. I can't figure out why anyone would not
want to contribute to this very scientific tool. I could go on and on about
this programs benefits to birds that we all enjoy. Looked into it. It's
fun. You will be contributing to science and helping answer questions about
birds that need answering. I believe there is already and ebird app for
apple.

Good birding
