Here are the early results of the Chattanooga CBC held on December 14. All but one group has reported: 99 species. Highlights included: - 287 Sandhill Cranes - Highest count in many years and probably ever for the Chatt. CBC. - 11 Red-breasted Mergansers (Chester Frost State Park) - Snow Goose (Williams Island) - 16 Bald Eagles- Excellant count for our area. - American Woodcock (Baylor school) - 2 Sedge Wrens (Williams Island) -5 Virginia Rails (Standifer Gap Marsh) - small tern species (Standifer Gap Marsh) I want to thank all who partcipated.
