There were three Eared Grebes in breeding plumage on Reelfoot Lake out
from the boardwalk behind the State Park visitor center this evening. A
pair was sticking very close together and the third bird stayed nearby.
There has been one bird around for quite a while and I suspected there
may be another here but I didn’t expect to find three together.
This is my personal high count for Tennessee.
