June Welch and I birded Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery ( Anderson County) from
11:00 AM until 12:15 PM today, Friday July 15. The two immature White Ibis
were still there along with a number of other shorebirds that moved around a
lot.
The ibis were in the deep pond area in the middle.

Other birds:

Pied-billed Grebe
Mallard
Canada Geese
Least Sandpiper
Killdeer
Lesser Yellowlegs
Western Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Willet
Immature Black-crowned Night Heron
Green Heron
Great Blue Heron
Great Egret

Allan Trently was leaving as we arrived and reported seeing a
Pectoral Sandpiper and a Dowitcher species.

Mike Smith came out to be sure that we had seen the ibis and told us he
will have the gates open tomorrow so that other interested birders will
have an opportunity to see them.
