This morning I found a Dunlin feeding at the far north end of the lake on
Carters Creek Pk. south of Franklin. There was a decent assortment of other
shorebirds there: a pair each of Greater Yellowlegs and Least Sandpipers, a
couple dozen Wilson’s Snipe and the normal Killdeer. The adult pair of Bald
Eagles were active between the lake and nest area to the south.
Good birding!
