Cove Lake St. Pk at Caryville , TN this past week
N. of Knoxville of I 75 exit 134
Highlights:
BALD EAGLE 10-13-02
Arrival of first GADWALLS 10-16-02
White Throated Sparrows and Osprey 10-14- 02
Blue-Winged Teal 4 10-16-02
Friday 10-18-02 behind the National Guard Armory in Jacksboro, TN
(apx. 3 m. from Cove Lake) I saw :
5 WHITE CROWNED SPARROWS 4 SWAMP SPARROWS
12 SAVANNAH SPARROWS 7 SONG SPARROWS AND
9 FIELD SPARROWS along with a WINTER WREN.
This little area has been very productive for Sparrows the past 3 years
in a row
