A brief stop at Cove Lake SP while traveling netted one Great Egret, 10 Yellow-rumped Warblers and one female Red-breasted Nuthatch. The Red-breasted Nuthatch was very busy at extracting Virginia pine seed from the cones and then wedging them under the bark of one nearby pine as well as several large red cedar trees across the parking lot from the pines.
