Lyons Bend/Cove Island
Knox Co., TN

Out on the island again today in wintry weather, I found an early (for me)
Common Yellowthroat. I saw about 50 species today. The most interesting being:

Double-crested Cormorant 19
Gadwall 2
American Widgeon 2
Blue-winged Teal 2
Red-breasted Merganser 1 (possibly injured, has been here for weeks)
Wood Duck 15

Blue-headed Vireo 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 3
Brown Creeper 1
Pine Siskin 2

Big flock of Swallows over the river again including mainly Tree Swallows,
but also Barn, Rough-winged, Cliff Swallows, and Purple Martins.
