While leaving my neighborhood this morning to go to work, I noticed a "Turkey Vulture" winging its way over my street, only this "vulture" had a white tail and head! It was an adult Bald Eagle! I live in the city limits, with farm land behind me. The Cumberland river is about 4 miles away. I was pleasantly shocked. This bird was flying southwest towards downtown! I wonder who else may have seen it today. Not a bad neighborhood bird! With Sage Thrasher, McGillivrays Warbler, Vermillion Flycatcher, and Pacific Loons around us this fall and then this-I wouldn't be surprised to see pigs fly soon! Keep your eyes open-you never know what you'll see in this great hobby of ours!
