[TN-Bird] Re: Chipping sparrows

A fair number of Chipping Sparrows overwinter in the
Knoxville area.  That said, there have been a LOT
Chipping Sparrows here this winter.  I had three
groups of 20-35 birds in northern Blount Co. on the
Knoxville CBC on 2 Jan 2005.  We ended up with 118
Chippies on the count, the second highest total ever
on this count behind a record of 130 on the 97th CBC
(1996-97).
