Cedars of Lebanon State Park Nightjars and Owls
Wilson Co
Traveling
Two night owls joined me for a ZIP TRIP through the back roads of Cedars of
Lebanon Forest this evening. We heard at least 20 Whip-poor-wills and had a
Barred Owl fly across the road in front of us and begin its hooaws. Shortly two
more owls joined in. Thought we were at the MET listening to the THREE TENORS.
Little further down the road we had to more Hootin it up. Whippoorwill Rd.
lived up to its name and also provided us with 2 Chuck-wills-widows. Great
evening.
This is a new typing of a post I did last night. It did not go through because
this new computer I have takes some getting used to and sent the email by and
unsubscribed email address which had not been accepted by TN-Bird. That has
been corrected. Not TN-Birds fault, mine getting used to this new computer
setup.
