17 September 2005 Roane County?, TN Rob Biller, JT McNeil, and myself were returning from seeing the Brown Pelican in Chattanooga yesterday (09/17), when we encountered a flock of approximately 130 Cattle Egrets flying north along Highway 58 (about 5-8 miles or so south of Kingston, TN). We followed the birds for about a mile and eventually lost them as the highway veered away. Also, Allan Trently reported a Willet at Kingston Steam Plant on the 15th and there was still a Willet present there yesterday evening. Thomas S.
