A friend who works for the City of Pittman Center called earlier this morning
to inform me of a Cattle Egret in the pasture and mud puddle where the
Loggerhead Shrike was being seen in March. I dropped what I was doing to check
it out and sure enough, a single Cattle Egret, all decked out, by the puddle
with Blue-winged Teal. It flew as I approached and landed by an Angus in the
pasture, true to name. I could find no other record on ebird for Cattle Egret
in Sevier County, but if someone knows of one, please respond. County bird #211
for me.
