I finally did make it out to the Carters Creek lake this afternoon and in
addition to the previously reported birds, I found a Western Sandpiper and a
Bank Swallow. Both adult Bald Eagles were at the lake late in the evening and
there appear to be 3 young in the nest across the field.

birds have been reported at the lake on Carters Creek Rd. south of Franklin
today. Willets, Semipalmated Plovers/Sandpipers and a Little Blue Heron were
the highlights so far.
