[TN-Bird] Re: Canada Trip, Spring 2010: MB & SK with trips to IA, MO, MT, ND

The all-time record is 260 in Texas on April 19 of 2008 by Behrens, Cox,
Nosner & Retter.  They drove 856 miles--that is some extreme birding!  Beyond
Texas there is a record of 231 from California, 230 from Wisconsin, and 229
from New Jersey.  However, as a percentage of the state/provinces entire bird
list, the all-time record would have to be 214 in Manitoba on May 31, 2008 with
a whopping 55% (576 miles).  Second would be Wisconsin at 52.9%.  While birders
do not keep track of totals over three days, I thank that would be more
interesting and would come closer to a census of what is available in a
specific state or province.  In Manitoba 230 or even more might be possible
in three days.
