2 Cackling Geese found yesterday by Larry McDaniel at Boone's Creek, near Johnson City, were refound this morning. They were in the field of corn stubble on Picken's Bridge Rd. with a flock of Canada Geese. Although they flew off while I was there, this flock probably feeds there frequently (still lots of corn on ground). In the flock, one Canada had a green neck-collar with 4KV1 and another had a red leg band. Of interest, there have been 2 reports of Cackling Geese near Asheville, in western NC, recently. The 1 at Lake Junaluska was still there today. ################### Rick Knight Johnson City, TN rknight@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
