The stilt was still there this morning around 8:00 a.m. This was my second
attempt to see it. I went at lunch time on Monday and found only a couple
killdeer on the pond. This morning I spotted it right away on the far side
of the pond. After watching for a few minutes, I looked away and when I
looked back it was gone. Relocated it right away in shallow water at the
far left of the pond, much closer. What an outstanding bird, just
beautiful. It was actively feeding in the water. There were also about a
dozen mallards.
