Radnor Lake
Davidson Co.
I birded Radnor Lake this morning, but there's still not much in the way of
migrants coming in with this cold weather persisting. New birds for me were 2
BLACK-THROATED GREENS near the cane bridge on the lake trail. Others of
interest were:
pied-billed grebe 2
wood duck 12
Canada Goose 10 - some sitting on eggs
lesser scaup 2
blue-winged teal 11
red-tail nesting above ranger's house at east end
barred owl at east end
chimney swifts
belted kingfisher - hadn't heard it for quite a while
eastern phoebe 1
purple martins
tree swallows
barn swallows
northern rough-winged swallows
brown creeper 1
blue-gray gnatcatcher lots
ruby-crowned kinglets several singing
cedar waxwing 2
yellow-rumped warblers almost always in earshot
Louisiana waterthrush 1 at east end
swamp sparrow 2
white-throated sparrow several
