4-10-07 Radnor Lake Davidson Co. I birded Radnor Lake this morning, but there's still not much in the way of migrants coming in with this cold weather persisting. New birds for me were 2 BLACK-THROATED GREENS near the cane bridge on the lake trail. Others of interest were: pied-billed grebe 2 wood duck 12 Canada Goose 10 - some sitting on eggs lesser scaup 2 blue-winged teal 11 red-tail nesting above ranger's house at east end barred owl at east end chimney swifts belted kingfisher - hadn't heard it for quite a while eastern phoebe 1 purple martins tree swallows barn swallows northern rough-winged swallows brown creeper 1 blue-gray gnatcatcher lots ruby-crowned kinglets several singing cedar waxwing 2 yellow-rumped warblers almost always in earshot Louisiana waterthrush 1 at east end swamp sparrow 2 white-throated sparrow several Jan Shaw Nashville, TN ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
