NW Lake Co. TN. Jolly's Landing area just off Miss. River Found a family of 4 Black Necked Stilts in the second pool near Jolly's landing just North of the ramp area off the levee heading North from Jolly's landing. The young are nearing full grown. Their tail feathers are beginning to appear. Lots of water there and will be a good area for shores birds for a while. While driving up Tiptonville Ferry Road from Tiptonville looking for shorebirds/habitat I found there is going to be good habitat since the river is up and mud flats are forming. On the East side of the road there are pools of water that the Egrets and Great Blue Herons are using now. No ducks or Terns seen. Phillippy Pits area has some water at the deeper part by the levee and in the ditch. The family of Black neck stilts on Robinson Bayou rd South of Tiptonville and North West of Ridgely were surviving the last news I had but water was getting scarce.
