[TN-Bird] Re: Bird Collisions-HELP!

We've had that problem. A single 6-inch feather on a string on the outside of
a 3' x 3' window seems to help. Even more effective - mount a screen on the
outside of the window.

Good luck,

In the month of March I had many, many Purple Finches and Goldfinches that
were bent on suicide by flying into my windows in the feeding area. Before
I got the message, too many were successful and who knows how many were
maimed. For some reason Purple Finches can't learn that's just not a good
thing to do. So I took down all my feeders, except the peanut butter suet,
for about three days until the finches moved on. When they came again in
droves, I repeated it. I like to watch Purple Finches but not dead ones.
