A severe thunderstorm came through Birchwood (Hamilton County) last week
(before the remnants of Hurricane Ida came through.) I had a several trees down
or damaged by that thunderstorm. This morning I was out taking some photos to
substantiate the damage when I was blessed to see a male Canada Warbler. I have
seen fewer than five of this species in my life. The males are one of the
easier ones for me to recognize with their large black “necklace.”
