Birders, If you are in the market for new binoculars, may I suggest the Leupold Wind River Olympic 10x50s? Steve Ingraham on his "Better View Desired" site reviews them ( http://betterviewdesired.com/10-02/leupold.html ) and speaks very highly of them;making them his "Best Buy" in the high-power binocular category. I recently purchased a pair from Cabela's for <$400 and they are everything I had hoped for; at less than half the price of binoculars that don't perform optically as well. If you are looking for a pair of top-end roof-prism binos., look no further. BTW, I have no commercial interest in any of the companies or products mentioned; just wanted to let people know of a good thing.
