I went to Bells Bend in Davidson County today to look for the Willow Flycatcher
reported by Jan Shaw, and it was exactly where she described. I also heard but
didn't see a Dicksiccel, but saw one and heard several more on Cleeses Ferry
Road at the land trust location. There were also in Bells Bend plenty of
Common Yellowthroats, Indigo Buntings, Yellow-breasted Chats and Prarie
Warblers, plus a single Yellow-billed Cuckoo. Yesterday I saw a Baltimore
Oriole fly across my Parking lot in Hendersonville (Sumner County). I would
have expected them to be gone by now.
