Bells Bend Park Davidson Co., TN 8:30-9:20am mostly clear and warming up Had a doctor's appointment that kept me from the Radnor Lake Wed. Walk. So instead afterward I went to Bells Bend Park looking for Vesper and Henslow's Sparrows. I found 1 out of 2, so not too bad a percentage. Walking down the main trail from the visitor's center past the barn and then a very narrow tree line on the left I found a single Henslow's Sparrow singing perhaps 40 yards past the tree line and 20 yards into the field on the left side of the trail. This is the partly grown up field where they were found the past year. Also found a first of the season male Indigo Buntingand Orchard Oriole nearby. Plenty of Prairie Warblers and Common Yellowthroats singing.
