We just heard (and saw) them fly over our place near hidden lake state park!
Incredible. They were very vocal.

Given the recent SANDHILL CRANE sightings, I went outdoors
multiple times yesterday and today, Wed., hoping to hear and
see them. Although I had no luck yesterday, at about 12:55 pm
today, I heard their bugling and watched as flock after flock
migrated north while extensively calling. I estimate that at
least 1600 birds headed north over the 30 minutes that I
watched. A number of neighbors also heard and saw them, so I
was able to share the sighting and tell them what they were
hearing and seeing. A truly impressive sight and sound!
