[TN-Bird] Barred Owl at Radnor Lake Monday 9/7/09

My wife Rosemary and I drove up to Radnor Lake from Chattanooga on
Monday, 9/7/09.  We stopped at Nickajack Dam around 9:30am.  Not much
there.  We found 2 DC Cormorants, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Semi-palmated
Plovers and 4 Black Terns.  We arrived at Radnor Lake around 11:30am and
stayed until about 2:30pm.  I'm sorry we missed the otters seen earlier
that morning, but we did find a rather large Barred Owl snoozing in a
tree on the trail just behind the Visitor Center.  Other birds of note
at Radnor Lake included:
American Redstart

Magnolia Warbler

Black-and-white Warbler

Canada Warbler

Prothonotary Warbler

Philadelphia Vireo

Yellow-throated Vireo

Red-tailed Hawk

Green Heron
