A couple of weeks ago, a co-worker told me his wife had seen an
adult Bald Eagle fly over the Solway Bridge that morning. Today
(Sunday, 26 Feb 2006), as Amber and I were returning from church,
we also saw an adult Bald Eagle soaring over Haw Ridge Park as we
crossed the bridge.

Solway Bridge is on Pellissippi Parkway where it crosses Melton
Hill Lake and the Knox/Anderson County line.

Note that I am in no way condoning birding while driving, particularly
on this very dangerous stretch of road. :-)

I recommend taking the Edgemoor Rd exit just north of the bridge
to the boat ramp or Haw Ridge Park for those wishing to look for
the eagle.
