So just this evening (8/4/2014) as I was finishing up dinner prep, I happened to look out the kitchen window. And there I spotted, atop a snag 50 feet from the house, and 50 feet above my head, a young Double-crested Cormorant apparently settling in for the night! Not a first for our property, but a first for the kitchen window, I believe.
