Hello Birders,

My little house wren is defiinitely nesting in the gourd under my carport
here in the Charlotte Park section of West Nashville. Every time I walk out
my
basement door to the carport, it flies out of aforesaid gourd. When I drive
the car back in on my return from errands, it flies out again. It returns as
I watch quietly from behind the curtain on the basement door. Morning,
noon and night, the male sings incessantly. What a joy they are!

All mockingbird babies are gone. Parents are feeding hungrily on peanut
butter and jelly as if it is going out of style! Guess they are getting ready
for the next brood!

Cardinals, house finches, chickadees, titmice, house sparrows & mourning
doves are bringing babies to "Dee's Smorgabird" in massive numbers. It's
keeping me busy!! These babies are constantly hungry.

God love them all,

Dee Thompson
Nashville, TN
