On my way home today I was on McFee Rd half way between the circle with the new soccer park and the stop sign for Boyd Station Rd (right near the underpass for the train tracks / Harvey Road) when I spotted a pair of American Kestrels on the telephone wires. I watched as the female dropped into the fielded area and came up with a mouse then rushed home to get my camera. When I got back the female was still ripping apart the mouse though she wouldn't let me get close enough for a decent shot of it, she kept flying further away mouse in-tow (or in-talon I guess). I did manage to get a couple of half decent shots of the male. Also, between the two circles on McFee (near the Bridgemoore developement) I saw the resident red-tailed hawk again, hopefully he won't chase off the Kestrels.
