TN-birders,
Dollyann and I checked Eagle Bend hatchery in Anderson County today just before
noon. Not much around except a Hooded Warbler in the far back left corner and a
couple of Spotted Sandpipers. As we were leaving Dollyann spotted a bird flying
and thought it looked different. We drove back to check it out and it turned
out to be an American Golden-Plover. It looked to have the same plumage as the
one we had out there last week or so, but who knows?
Seen around one of the ponds on the left (second from the river) and before the
overhead power lines.
