Boiling Pond, White County
Traveling
Finally got loose and headed up to White Co about Noon. Arrived about 1:30pm.
American Avocet, and Imm. White Ibis were still there along with Great Blue
Herons and a Loggerhead Shrike I have seen here several times. The person that
owns the land stopped by and said Bald Eagles started a nest here this spring,
but when the water started dropping they left the area. Stopped by the Wet
Area on Gum Springs Mountain Road, 75 -100 C. Geese, numerous Wood Ducks. Last
time I was here TWRA showed up to Band the Wood Ducks. Also had Tennessee,
Magnolia, Palm, and Nashville Warblers in this area. Palm Warbler most
prevalent today.
