FIRST OF THE SEASON YARD MIGRANTS
Single Junco first for season... been at feeder daily since Wednesday,
October 6, 2004. How long until there are more... 10, 20 or more?

One female Towhee at feeder same day. Not seen since the 6th.

Single White-breasted Nuthatch sighted in ugly butterfly bush October 6,
first of season. Not seen since.

Black-throated Blue Warbler (male), October 6, 2004 in ugly butterfly bush
at living room window. Not sighted since.

Still enjoy birding!!!. Unfortunately there are so many distractions. The
Black-throated Blue lingered while finding something to eat in the bark and
the dried-up blooms of the butterfly bush. To see these birds outside my LR
window is so rewarding and the ugly bush is still there though pruned.

Enjoy birding!
Tess Cumbie
