In addition to the Palo Alto landfill study, there's Prof. Tim Townsend
at
the University of Florida. His initial work was funded by the US EPA,
and he
seemed to shy away from saying anything controversial. He used without
critiquing it the EPA TCLP test which you correctly challenged for its
unrealistic method. I think since then he has continued his interest and
improved his analyses.
