FYI China MIIT has issued the infamous and long-awaited Catalog for review
and comment by Nov. 9. It contains cell phones, regular phones, and
printers. Some seemingly relevant exemptions based on EU RoHS are provided.
We translated it in to English and have made it available for a small fee at
www.chinarohs.com.
If your company sells any of these products or is in the supply chain for
any of them you should read and comment on this. It goes in to force 10
months from the promulgation date. And while it's not addressed, this is
where China RoHS requires testing to prove compliance.
