[thinkpad] Crazy PATH variable.

I needed to add to my PATH variable, and was a little dismayed
at the mess sprawled over there by the IBM software.
I'm just a little afraid that if I mess with it, the IBM software will
cease to function.
I've already found IBM's weakness for the IE6 browser.
On their site tonight and selected the 'find my model and type'
which sadly said NO CAN DO.
Perhaps what it should have said was, I need IE6 for that.
Not nice IBM.
