One of the things Tscale does is optimize the dll's for performance of the running programs. Once this is done you can then move onto memory management, cpu prioritization etc. I really like the Aurema product and if I had my druthers I'd use both Tscale and Aurema on my servers together. Does it provide stability? Most of their marketing refers to increasing the number of users per given server. Is memory management that most common cause of problems? adam "Jim Kenzig http://thethin.ne To: <thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> t" cc: <jimkenz@concentr Subject: [THIN] Re: stability tools ic.net> Sent by: thin-bounce@freel ists.org 12/23/2003 08:53 AM Please respond to thin You seem to already know which ones. I'd look at Tscale, Aurema.com Armtech (which works with tscale or appsense) and then Appsense in that order. Then also take a look at WMSoftware.com Relevos. Not to forget tmulimit from tmurgent.com. The Wyse product is just Tscale rebranded. If you are looking to do other servers besides just terminal servers Armtech is your best bet for the price. They've been doing CPU optimization on several different platforms since the dark ages of computing and have perfected it. I am going to propose to management that we take a look at some tools but I need to know which ones I should look at first. The goal is not to get more people onto a server (nice benefit), but to provide a more stable platform. Not all of the apps we run were designed with the terminal server environment in mind. adam ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - 99Point9.Com Emergent Online EOL Universal Printer 4.0 Has arrived! http://www.99point9.com/public/products/ ********************************************************* Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thethin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
